Newborn are best photographed within the first two weeks of life. During this time they are more likely to be nice and sleepy and less likely to be disturbed whilst being curled into gorgeous positions to be photographed. This also mostly avoids any newborn acne that tends to develop after day 14. Don't worry too much as we will retouch and edit the problem areas.

Sessions can be held in our home studio at Ferntree Gully nearby Knoxfield Shopping Centre, where we have access to all the props and equipment required and the environment can be kept comfortable for everyone. If you require to stay home for confinement or any other reason, we can always bring along our equipment to your cosy home for newborn session. (Please do not hesistate to contact us for more information).

We can't give your a definite session time but we usually aim to keep it under three hours. As every newborn are different compare to others. Some may need more settling time while others may just go to sleep very easily throughout the session. Just need to keep in mind that there is no hurry in the session, patients it the key to success. Besides, there is no guarantee for us to produce specific poses/images but we will always try our best to do as request and to get the images that are of most importance to you and your family.

Yes absolutely! Family portraits with newborn can be done at the end of the session. We always encourage family members to join the photo session as your baby will not stay this little for long and you do not want to miss this once in the lifetime opportunity with your bundle of joy. If you are requesting sibling portraits on the other hand, this are most likely to be done at the beginning of the session as children tend to be bored easily in the middle or at the end of the session.

There is never too early to book in your newborn session! As baby's birthdate is unpredictable. What we want to know is the estimated date of delivery, so that we can reserve a time frame for you. If you have planned to have induce or c-section book, your session date can be booked in advance. Once your baby is borned, we would like you to contact us as soon as possible so that we can arrange the exact date and time for your newborn session. To give you a rough idea, most of our clients book their sessions around their second trimester to avoid missing out.

Your images will be ready to choose and order approximately two weeks following your session. After that, you have the opportunity to decide if you want these images to be printed professionally with us or album design.
